Finding Our Balance: School, Work, Life, and the Path to Personal Health

As future leaders and change-makers! We need to learn to navigate through our administrative credential journey. I've been reflecting on a crucial aspect of our lives that often gets overshadowed by deadlines, meetings, and, let's be honest, an endless stream of assignments. Yes, I'm talking about finding that ever-elusive balance between school, work, and our personal lives.

Many of us, including myself, easily fall into the trap of spending hours on end in front of screens, mindlessly scrolling through social media or binge-watching TV shows. Guilty as charged! But here's the thing it has dawned on me that we could harness just a fraction of that time into something that not only benefits our physical health but also boosts our mental well-being and productivity.

Consistency is key! Over the past two years, amidst essays, projects, and administrative fieldwork, I embarked on a personal quest to find balance. It wasn't easy, but by prioritizing and scheduling time for what truly matters, the impossible became possible. I'm proud to share that I've lost over 50 pounds and reduced my body fat by 3% and continue! This journey of transformation has taught me the power of commitment, not just to our professional goals but to our health and well-being.

So, here's my call to action for all of us: Let's commit to taking care of ourselves. Whether it's incorporating a daily workout routine, practicing yoga, going for a walk, running a marathon, or simply taking a few minutes to meditate, let's make it happen. It's not just about physical health; it's about nurturing our minds and spirits, allowing us to be the best versions of ourselves, both as individuals and as professionals in the field of education.

I believe in us. Let's embark on this journey together, creating a balance that resonates with our personal and professional aspirations. Remember, it's not about finding time; it's about making time for what truly matters.

To my fellow students, let's do this. Let's transform, transcend, and triumph, one step at a time. Don’t hesitate to reach out I am willing to support you along the way. I am no coach or trainer at all but I am a student willing to help others too achieve their goals and find a balance.
